Longslice Brewery, a bold and adventurous craft beer brand based in Toronto, has made a name for itself with its unique brews and creative marketing. Known for pushing boundaries in both flavor and design, Longslice was looking to expand its reach and increase brand visibility. The brewery aimed to partner with Toronto Zoo, to help amplify its exposure and connect with new audiences.
Humber College’s Advertising and Graphic Design program collaborated with Longslice Brewery to develop a proposal for this exciting partnership. After several brainstorming sessions and teamwork, a select group of winning teams presented their designs to Longslice, who would ultimately choose the final concept to present to the zoo. This project was a perfect showcase of how design can bridge business goals and creative vision in innovative ways.
The proposal featured two key elements:
1. A design that seamlessly merges the adventurous, boundary-pushing spirit of Longslice Brewery with the natural, clean aesthetic of the Toronto Zoo.
2. Custom typography that reflected both brands’ distinct personalities—fun, bold, and professional.

My approach was to create a visually cohesive identity that highlighted the synergy between Longslice’s playful brand and the Zoo’s commitment to nature and conservation. I used Adobe Firefly (AI), Illustrator, and InDesign to craft a consistent and compelling design across all touchpoints.
This campaign was my first real client experience, and it was incredibly rewarding. Longslice Brewery appreciated my design and it made it into the top 5 of the competition, bringing the concept one step closer to becoming a reality.
