ABTA: Guide to Greece, a renowned travel publication produced by the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA). This guide offers in-depth travel insights, recommendations, and practical information for British travelers heading to Greece, covering everything from popular tourist destinations to hidden gems. Known for its informative content and practical advice, the magazine is aimed at providing a comprehensive travel experience for its readers.

The objective of the project was to breathe new life into the existing publication while honing my skills with Adobe software, improving my creative approach to branding and imagery, and perfecting my layout and design execution. By paying close attention to detail, I worked to ensure that the final design was as visually striking in print as it was on screen. This process refined my expertise in layout design, art direction, and the technical aspects of print production.
Key elements of the redesign included:
1. A modern, refreshed layout that highlights the vibrant beauty of Greece, giving a sense of wanderlust and adventure.
2. A strategic color palette of cool blues and whites, reflecting Greece's iconic coastal landscapes, paired with bold black and white typography for striking contrast.
Drawing on my interest in travel, I aimed to capture the essence of Greece’s natural beauty while keeping the design clean and functional. My focus was on creating a visually engaging layout that would guide the reader smoothly through the content while maintaining the magazine’s informative tone. I used InDesign to execute the design, with particular attention to how the layout could balance both editorial content and imagery.
Although the project was challenging, it gave me the opportunity to showcase my layout skills and creativity in a real-world context. The layout was by far my favorite part of the redesign, as it allowed me to combine both my design sensibility and my passion for travel in a cohesive and impactful way.
